This year we wanted to recognise the little workers behind the scenes- your ProjectScotland Mentors. Those ears that listen, those brains you pick, that person who nudges you in the right direction. They are wise like Yoda and here’s your chance to thank them for helping you make the most out of your placement.
Who can get a moscar?ProjectScotland Mentors who have mentored volunteer(s) on or after September 2007 and have mentored them for more than 2 months.
Who and how do we nominate?Nominations can only come from volunteers they have mentored. One overall winner will be chosen.
So if you know the mentor supreme then we’d like to know how they’ve made a difference to you and your development.
Nomination DeadlinesNominations are open until the 31st July 2008
Who decides? The moscars will be judged by an external panel who have experience of the voluntary industry, working with young people and mentoring.
The judges will be looking for evidence of how your mentor helped you:
• with your personal development and achievements• make an impact within their placement• make the most of their time with ProjectScotland• set goals, plan for your future and work towards making them happen
When are the moscars? The moscars will be awarded on the same night as our voscar winners (two for the price of one!) on Tuesday 23rd September at The GRV in Edinburgh.
