Your charity + our volunteers = success
Last year we matched 600 young people with charities all over Scotland. By taking on a ProjectScotland volunteer your charity will benefit from their time and talents, whilst they get the chance to learn new skills and gain experience.
HOW IT WORKS
We work with you to create valuable volunteering opportunities for people aged 16-30 in Scotland. Each opportunity requires 20-30 hours a week, and lasts for 3 months.
WE FIND THE VOLUNTEERS
People make a positive choice to become a ProjectScotland volunteer. We spend time getting to know each volunteer, discovering their interests and goals so that we can find a great match. We invest in finding you the right volunteer so you don’t have to.
The young person a fantastic role that helps them develop their skills. You’ll provide support and line management so they can unlock the benefits of volunteering and learn as much as possible from your organisation. You’ll also work with ProjectScotland to ensure that their travel expenses are covered, so they’re never out of pocket when volunteering.
More than just a fresh pair of eyes and an extra pair of hands. A volunteer can become an integral part of your team. Volunteers look for a range of experiences: working indoors, outdoors, behind desks or in forests. Some want to work with words and numbers, while others are more comfortable with people or animals. They all make a difference. We have partners who tell us they wouldn’t be able to operate without our volunteers.
HOW ELSE DO WE HELP?
As well as finding you the perfect volunteer, we give them a travel allowance to help them get to and from their placement. On top of that we’ll invite them to a series of workshops on things like CV writing and interview skills, and provide them with a mentor to help them think about their future.
