THE VOSCARS
It’s getting to be that time of year again - borrow some jewellery, staple some coasters together and call it a dress,

then hit the red carpet! Yes, the voscars 2007 is finally here! Next Wednesday is the 2nd year of our Annual Awards where we celebrate the achievements of all our volunteers, partners and supporters. Five volunteers will pick up a voscar and five will be commended at our winner’s reception at The Hub, Edinburgh. We will also be announcing the Volunteer of the Year 2007.
Warning: this event may contain tears, whoops of joy and other public displays of emotion. The Voscars were originally know as the Vacademy Vawards, no one is really sure about how it came to be know as the Voscars.

WINNER OF FLIGHT PATH COMP
Last month we ran a wee competition giving
you the chance to win tickets to see the Flight Path at the Traverse in Edinburgh.
KATHERINE SELLAR, who recently finished her placement at Edinburgh International Film Festival, won! We caught up with Katherine to find out what she thought of the play (and to make sure she actually got the tickets).

“I had a great time! Flight Path was interesting, moving, and at the same time darkly humorous. It was nice to do something a bit more cultured than I usually would. I wouldn’t have gone to anything like this if I hadn’t won, but now I think I will keep an eye on the Traverse’s programme. Thanks ProjectScotland!”

STEVIE ROBERTSON has secured himself a brilliant job at Glamis Castle and The Strathmore Estates as a Forester after his placement at Murton Wildlife Trust. This is a fantastic achievement for him after a number of jobs and becoming unemployed. “I was awarded numerous training courses from the Personal Development Fund which helped me towards my ideal career! I would like to thank both ProjectScotland and Murton for all their support over the last 12 months.”
