Before starting her placement Sarah was unsure of what to do with her life after leaving school. Her career’s advisor recommended a placement through ProjectScotland as a great opportunity to get some hands on experience. In the past Sarah found it hard to complete tasks to the best of her ability.
The six month placement has given her new skills such as team working and communication. Her ProjectScotland placement has given her the motivation, confidence and support to reach her full potential and to help her to take the next step. Sarah proved to be such an asset to the team, her line manager nominated her for a voscar and is now employed full time at Recycle Fife as a supervisor. She has just recently passed her forklift truck driving licence and sees herself working at Recycle Fife long term!

I had such an amazing, fun time and got the chance to meet other volunteers. ProjectScotland has opened up lots of new opportunities for me in the future!”
