Throughout my varied past as a professional footballer, then in media/marketing, and most recently for the past ten years working in the charity sector, two common themes have prevailed – working with young people and finding creative ways to raise money for good causes. All leading to my amazing current opportunity here at Project Scotland which allows me to focus on both young people and fundraising – a truly inspiring combination!
I manage our traditional fundraising where we generate support via key challenge events throughout the year. I’m also in charge of growing our Social Enterprise arm which specialises in our portfolio of commercial training products for businesses, based on our experience of working with Millennials and Young People entering the workplace.
At home I have three young boys so spend all of my spare time running after them, doing family day trips, and generally try to find ways to tire them out so I can actually get some sleep – a battle I’ve yet to find a winning formula for!
