A huge thank you to our Total Warrior Volunteers!Posted on September 13, 2016
This weekend was the second year Total Warrior came to Scotland and we were thrilled to be part of it.
The event itself is a 12k obstacle course, chock-a-block with 30 punishing obstacles that boast mud, heights, fire, and of course more mud! Warriors take part to prove their worth against the course, and earn themselves the bragging power (and a free beer) at the end.
We went along on both Saturday and Sunday with a whole troupe of our own volunteers. These brave individuals gave up their time to help cheer on our charity runners and the other awesome warrior competitors. Not only did they bring bags of enthusiasm to the course, but they helped man the obstacles (if you saw someone in a bright pink headband who convinced you to go headfirst down the slippery slide of mud you can thank our very own Head of Fundraising).
You may even recognise the lovely Julia from the finish line – she came to support us from The Union Creative Agency. Our other volunteers joined us from our own team here at ProjectScotland, our local Edinburgh volunteers, our friends at Scottish Power and more!
The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with a few of our volunteers already signing up for next years event! We can’t wait to see you all back here in a year, but most importantly, we want to give you a MASSIVE thank you from the entire team at ProjectScotland. You guys are the real Warriors in our eyes!
