Make your New Year’s resolution to Mentor with ProjectScotlandPosted on January 6, 2014
January and February are particularly busy months here at ProjectScotland as lots of people start the year by signing up to volunteer. As a result, we need new Mentors to support our volunteers.
Why not use this year to change a young Scot’s life, and in doing so, take part in a great opportunity for yourself. We need mentors from all walks of life, from all over Scotland, particularly in Dumfries and Galloway, Glasgow, Fife, North Lanarkshire, Aberdeen, Dundee and Perth and Kinross.
Make a resolution you’ll love to keep this year, Apply Now.
Mentoring can take as little as one hour a week. Your own personal experiences will influence young people, helping them get the most from their volunteering. Your support and advice will help our volunteers make some big decisions and get on in life, whilst providing you with a great sense of achievement.
All our mentors are provided with training and support to help them be the best mentor they can be. The only thing we ask is that you’re open, friendly, and committed to supporting a young person throughout their full-time volunteering position.
Why not get stuck in now? We hold new training sessions regularly. It’s a great environment to meet other like-minded people, whilst working towards helping our young people help themselves!
Apply now and make a difference to yourself and others in 2014.
