Want to be a voice for young people with mental health issues?Posted on March 15, 2018
Then we need you! We want to help more young people with mental health issues into employment and we need you to help us find out what does and doesn’t work.
We need young people who are:
- Aged 16 – 24
- live in Glasgow’s East End
- Have experience of mental health issues
- Unemployed or in the process of accessing employment opportunities
Meet the above criteria? Great! Read on to find out what’s involved…
You’ll be working with 10 – 15 other young people to explore different barriers to employment. You’ll need to be available to join three sessions one in May and two in June – each of which will be two hours long. The sessions will be a consist of a range of discussions and activities where you’ll able to share your thoughts about what has helped and hindered you in finding employment opportunities.
In return, you’ll receive a £20 Love2Shop voucher for each session you attend, you’ll also get Domino’s pizza lunch and snacks, plus your travel expenses will be covered.
Want to get involved? E-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or visit young.scot/get-involved and apply before 23rd May – we’d love to hear from you!
We’re working with Young Scot, Napier University and SAMH to deliver this project with European Social Fund funding.
