South West Community Cycles launches in partnership with ProjectScotlandPosted on November 1, 2013
South West Community Cycles are on the road to success having recently taken over Pollokshaws West railway station, the oldest station in Glasgow, and turned it into a community cycling hub with the help of ProjectScotland volunteers.
The organisation currently has 6 ProjectScotland volunteers helping with activities ranging from marketing to cycling repairs.
Alyson Tannahill, founder of South West Community Cycles says, “We couldn’t have opened without ProjectScotland. Our launch as a community organisation has only been possible because of the talented volunteers that have been sent our way.”
The project includes a café, cycle rental, cycle repair and a hot desk available to local people. Visit www.southwestcommunitycycles.co.uk to find out more.
