Scottish Wildlife Trust – Winter Wildlife Assistant
This role offers you the chance to assist the Ranger in monitoring winter wildlife on the Trust’s Perthshire reserves. You will help with collating the years data, conservation planning, and interpreting the winter wildlife at Loch of the Lowes to visitors, education groups, and at public events. This role is perfect for those with a keen interest in wildlife and the environment and will provide you with the chance to gain further knowledge about the Scottish Wildlife Trust.
Website Development Volunteer - Countryside Learning Scotland
Countryside Learning Scotland is an educational charity focussed on improving countryside awareness and all its social, professional, and health benefits. They are currently developing their website with the aim of making it a learning resource for teachers and young people. You’ll help create content, organise the structure, and help build links with other relevant sites. As well as being responsible for the development of a website you’ll build partnerships with national organisations across Scotland and develop your creative skills!
Events and Befriender - Enable
ENABLE Scotland is Scotland’s leading charity for people with learning difficulties. They provide support to hundreds of people and their families across Scotland and Friends Unlimited Network (FUN) is one way in which people with learning difficulties can integrate into society. You will be volunteering within the FUN project which is a friendship and social network set up by ENABLE Scotland. They run a number of events throughout the month. Working alongside the Project Coordinator who has overall responsibility for FUN you could be helping to facilitate events, helping to plan future timetables, maintaining the membership database, organising venues and helping to deliver workshops.
Strathmore Centre for Youth Development - Trainee Youth Worker
Volunteering at SCYD puts you in the heart of the community at Blairgowrie. You’ll engage and support individuals and groups that visit the charity and its various projects. You will play an active role in the one-stop-shop, and drop-in sessions and get the chance to develop a peer leadership role. By developing a great understanding of youth issues, you’ll put together a Personal Development Programme, as well as getting to man the shop front. You’ll also help out at youth clubs/groups and become a great ambassador for SCYD. This is a brilliant opportunity to really make the role your own. You’ll even be able to take part in training opportunities and community activities and events. If you want to boost your experience in all aspects of youth support.
